Pada hari Sabtu tanggal 20 April 2024, SD Strada Cakung mengadakan kegiatan rutin tahunan yaitu PBS (Permainan Besar Siaga) di Strada Youth Camp Toyogiri Bekasi. Kegiatan PBS ini merupakan kegiatan kepramukaan yang menanamkan kemandirian dan tanggungjawab anak dalam menghadapi tantangan kehidupan yang akan mereka hadapi. PBS merupakan puncak kegiatan pramuka siaga setelah anak-anak menyelesaikan mengikuti ekstrakurikuler pramuka selama kurang lebih satu tahun pelajaran. PBS menanamkan banyak hal yang bisa diterapkan anak dalam kehidupan yang akan mereka jalani di masa yang akan datang.
Dalam kegiatan PBS kemarin, banyak sekali kegiatan menarik yang dilakukan anak-anak. Mulai dari keberangkatan saja, anak-anak sudah merasa sangat senang, karena mereka berangkat menggunakan truk TNI AL yang selama ini belum pernah mereka rasakan. Setelah sampai di Toyogiri, anak-anak mengikuti upacara yang diselingi dengan kegiatan riang ria dan senam. Upacara bendera dilakukan sebagai wujud cinta tanah air dan melatih kedisiplinan anak. Setelah mengikuti upacara, anak-anak berlomba dalam beberapa pos sesuai barung masing-masing. Pos 1 sandi morse, Pos 2 estafet hulahop, Pos 3 mencari bola, Pos 4 KIM, Pos 5 LKBB. Setelah anak-anak mengikuti lomba dalam pos-pos, kegiatan berikutnya adalah outbound. Kegiatan outbound merupakan kegiatan yang paling banyak ditunggu oleh anak-anak, karena mereka bisa menguji nyali mereka melewati haling rintang. Sebagian besar anak mengikuti kegiatan outbound tersebut walaupun pakaian mereka akan sangat kotor bercampur lumpur, tetapi mereka menikmati dan sangat senang. Setelah mereka melakukan outbound, akhirnya mereka bisa beristirahat makan siang. Setelah makan siang, tiba saatnya pengumuman pemenang. Ada 3 pemenang barung putra dan 3 pemenang barung putri dalam kegiatan lomba di pos-pos. Akhirnya semua acara sudah selesai, anak-anak dan Bpk/Ibu pendamping segera membereskan barang-barang yang dibawa untuk pulang menuju ke sekolah kembali. Kami tiba di sekolah sekitar pukul 15.30.
Puji Tuhan acara PBS dapat berjalan dengan lancar, dengan segala persiapan yang dilakukan Bpk/Ibu guru dan karyawan. Kebetulan juga cuaca sangat mendukung. Anak-anak juga sangat senang dan menikmati kegiatan PBS tersebut. Semoga ke depan kegiatan PBS bisa lebih menarik lagi dan membuat anak-anak bisa belajar apa arti dari kemandirian dan kedisiplinan.
